Thought we would post letting you know we are working on a new site design. It should make searching a lot simpler as well as making the management of your own uploads a lot easier. It will also have a design that leans a little more towards the content of our site.

At the same time we are also fixing a handful of bugs that we have found in the current design.

Happy Holidays!

Retro Halloween

It's good to know that homemade costumes were still awesome in the 60's (That robot costume is amazing!). Check out some vintage costumes by searching "Halloween".

How Do You Use VintagePixels?

We occasionally get an email detailing a project someone wants to use our photos for and asking if our photos are really free for use (yes they are!). With this we get a small glimpse of how our photos have been used in various projects. Our user base has been growing a lot lately so we'd like to ask the question...

How do you use VintagePixels?

Whether it be a website, props for a movie set, a hand crafted item on Etsy or even your school project, we want to hear from you.
We'll be setting up a "as used in" linkback section, so if you have links to your work, send them along with information about your project to info@vintagepixels.com

School is almost out - Time for camping!

Designing the invitations for your summer family reunion and need a retro camping image? Just type "camping" into the search box and remember the musty smell of your canvas tent.

Before the advent of PVRs or even VCRs, the only way to record an important event on television was to take a picture of it. One of the biggest events ever seen on television was the first moon landing. Type "NASA" into the search to see what it was like to view this event from a 1969 living room.
